This is one of my favorite strips.
That horse there, his name is Gene, and you'll be seeing more of him, along with his good buddy, Paul.
There's just something I find funny about those occasions where we see a stranger come out of the blue to give our hero (yes, I'm calling Harold the hero of this strip) the advice he needs to continue along his adventure. I find it even funnier when that wise, sage advice comes from a horse.
I also find it funny that when faced with a horse who can talk, Harold isn't shocked, he isn't amazed or awestruck or even frightened over the prospect. No, Harold is just plain angry about the whole thing. It just makes me laugh is all.
